Corrugated Plastic Signs

Corrugated plastic signs are the most cost effective rigid signs known to man kind.  With our state of the art digital printing that prints your image directly on the plastic, you're getting the best value around.

The Cold Fire printing process uses revolutionary inkjet technology that allows us to digitally print your image directly onto the coroplast.  This is similar to screen printing without the setup.  Therefore, it is more economical and allows you to use as many colors without the setup or additional cost.  This also allows Cold Fire to print your signs faster and cheaper!

The Cold Fire inks are the most durable and vibrant inks available on the market today.  See below for a comparison to other competing ink technologies.

GerberCAT™ inks are an exclusive VIBRANT four-color (CMYK) cationic UV ink set that cures at approximately room temperature. Unlike solvent inks that create a chemical bond by eroding the surface of the substrate, GerberCAT inks cure into a strong, yet flexible mechanical bond that provides you with output that is immediately usable. GerberCAT cationic UV inks provide unmatched adhesion on materials traditionally problematic for inkjet printers such as glass and textiles. Heat-sensitive plastic, vinyl, fabric and paper-based materials can be printed on your Gerber Solara ion™ using Gerber’s Cold Fire Cure™ and GerberCAT inks without concern for ink adhesion or material damage.

GerberCAT ink was designed to cure slower than traditional UV inks; slightly less than one second vs. tenths of a seconds for traditional UV inks. While not noticeable during printing in any way, the additional time provided allows the powerful chemistry of GerberCAT to engage the curing process while building a stronger, more durable and highly elastic bond with the material.
The result of this unique ink chemistry and slower cure time is printed output with greater adhesion, more durability, better abrasion resistance, and outstanding flexibility.

Reducing environmental waste includes looking for ways to reduce material used in our products, reusing products whenever possible, and recycling when the product's useful life is over.

Cold Fire signs and the corrugated plastic product help to contribute to the reduction of environmental waste by:

Reduce
Corrugated plastic's twin-wall flutes produce strength and rigidity at a lower weight, thereby reducing the amount of material required.  Since our process digitally prints directly on the substrate we eliminate up to 50% of the waste normally seen with conventional sign making technology.

Reuse
The durability of currugated plastic in outdoor use means it can be used longer and reused over and over enabling a longer useful life.  It is better than foam boards that don't last

Recycle
Corrugated plastic uses polypropylene copolymers which makes for easy recycling at the end of its useful life. Polypropylene, being a polyolefin, recycles in processing streams such as plastic milk cartons and detergent bottles. Contact your local plastics recycling center for local information on polypropylene recycling.

UV curable ink on the plastic does not negate the recyclable properties of the plastic.  Cold Fire is also a leader in the durable sign and graphics industry.  We were one of the first to recycle all of our scrap plastics, including corrugated plastic, polystyrene, and other plastic products.
